Look at provision 5 of the Arizona law again.

5. Allows a law enforcement officer, without a warrant, to arrest a person if the officer has probable cause to believe that the person has committed any public offense that makes the person removable from the U.S.

An officer cannot make an arrest without a warrant if he doesn't believe "the person removable from the U.S." In other words, this law treats legal immigrants differently from native borns. That is as bad as apartheid. Furthermore, on what basis can an officer decide whether someone is a US citizen and someone is not? Remember US citizens are not required to carry ID with them. This will lead also to discrimination of brown looking US citizens.

How can you say that the Arizona law is fair when it treats people differently?
