And this is an European Goldfinch I photographed at Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY this weekend.
The interesting fact is that there should be no European Goldfinch in North America. Therefore, the European Goldfinches found wildly in America have been regarded as ESCAPED pets that are breaded in Michigan.
People Argued about this because the $200 bird is well caged and too expensive to let it go. As a matter of fact the nesting sites of European Goldfinch have been found wildly in the States.
I only found one and seems it is a female that is in its breading appearance.
