共产党消灭多少日军?

I once read a book on the famous generals in WW2, among which were several generals (who became marshals after 1949) in the CCP led 8-th Route Army.The battles they commanded that led to the lose of over dozens of Japapese were listed.

Some generals of KMT let National Army and their battle records were also listed.

This would give one some ideas if you sum up and compare the data.

The book (named sth like二战将帅录)was writen by PLA 军事科学院 in the 1980s.
