I stated this elsewhere in Chinese:

1. The mass are brainwashed to think this way for a long time;
2. The government can totally ignore it regardless if the mass got excited about it or not;
3. The government can "harmonize" if if chose to;
4. The government can totally remove the whole thing from public record if chose to.

The fact that it is everywhere in China proves only 1 thing: the government wants it that way.
