Again reinforced my view:
Repeating experiments of other labs must be encouraged, accepted for publications in journals same grade as original l one got.
Life sciences especially easy to fake data, little worries about being exposed, giving high values to repeating experiments is the effective way to eliminate this.
Needless to say, harsher punishment than just a mere retraction is needed. One whole institution needed to be black listed if one found faking, all their submitted papers have to be put on hold pending on others to reproduce their results, or put asterisk to their papers, say warning….
