It is Pence's job to defend Trump and make him look good. It is not your job to do the same.

You can share his policy, idea or view of the world, but you do not have to defend what he did or said obviously wrong. What is your point? While everyone knew what he means you came and say technically he did not, are you his lawyer or what?
