Beaumont医院3月15日更新其临床试验信息，取消了试验的次要目标（把肖氏手术传授给其他机构人员并验证手术效果和风险）。也就是说，原定的多中心试验现在变成了Beaumont医院的独角戏。而试验首要目标（刺激皮肤引起膀胱收缩，即建立反射弧）也注定失败，因为他们的先期试验发现患者反射弧最终消失或从未建立。
