Most people who recycle just place beer bottles
with other recyclables. I doubt recycling
companies bother to sort them out.

Not to mention many people do not even recyle
but just throw bottles into regular trash.
I doubt more that trash company would sort them out.

So For recycling purpose, I don't thinkl glass
bottles have any advantage over plastic ones.
