One is County of Los Angeles Public Library, and the other is without "County of", two totally separate system, just realized yesterday when trying to apply card number from one to another.

Only knew Santa Monica has its own library system that does not accept card from County of LA Public Library.

So I have a question: how many independent library systems are in Los Angeles area that are paralile and overlapping? (How much tax $ wasted?)
